Christopher Buehlman

O.R.S.

Kinch, lovable rogue, gets sent on a mission –

How much did you like it overall?

quite a lot! so many little details

What did you like most?

the fighting scenes, likeable character, the nature of the gods

What did you not like about it?

the love affair seemed a little too pat, the ending didn’t hold up after the journey–pacing seemed a little strange in that you wonder how important that journey really is. the references to the disease that didn’t seem to come up

Any favorite moments?

the Melville-esque scene with the squid was enjoyable on many levels–

Where do I put it on The Shelf?

middle shelf for sure – the plot didn’t hold up as well as the characterisation and writing, but it’s really wonderful

Any closing thoughts?
